10K (6.2 mile) Cross Country RunThis 10k (6.2 mile) run through Anastasia State Park's beach, hammock, and saltmarsh takes you to some of St. Johns County's most beautiful terrain. The race begins with a beach loop, traces pavement, dirt roads, and soil through the east nature trail and hammock loop. Runners will hit the pavement and trail again as they head to the marsh loop. The last leg of the run shoots the runners back down the main park road to the beach for a final loop on the sand. This is a cross country run and participants must be fit to run or walk on soft sand, uneven terrain, mixed pavement types, and hills with sun exposure, heat, and humidity, etc. Please contact Shelly at the race hotline (904) 461-2035 if you have any questions about the race. 5K (3.1 mile) Beach WalkThis 5K beach walk starts and ends on Anastasia State Park's most beautiful Beach. This is a low tide beach loop walk on sand. Completion awards will be given to all walkers.

Where & When
Meet at Island Beach Shop & Grill in the Anastasia State Park. Registration opens at 6:30 AM day of race to pickup your packet or to register. Follow the park's main road all the way to the end and park in the large lot that will be on your left. The registration tent will be outside Island Beach Shop & Grill.

Registration
Registration through September 16th, 2012 is $20.00 per runner/walker. Registration day of race is $25.00. See the how to register page for more details. ACRR Members recieve a $2 discount with ACRR membership card.
The Course
This year's 10K race is a cross counry race that will combine beach, road and trail running. Highlights of the run will include the start/finish line on the beach, a trail run along salt run inlet, and a trail run through nature trails along the park.
The 5K beach walk starts and ends on Anastasia State Park's beautiful beach. This is a low tide beach loop on sand.
